How long will my resume be active?

Your resume will be viewable to PGA employers for ninety (90) days from the date your resume is last modified. If you wish to remain active after the ninety (90) days, you will have to re-submit your resume.

Each individual job posting contains specific contact information at the bottom. Please follow any directions that are provided. If no directions are provided, you may contact the employer by regular mail or email.

What kind of skills or education do I need to work at a golf course?

Education requirements vary from job to job. Many top-level jobs require college degrees, but most golf-course jobs have no specific education requirements. Common skills necessary for working at a golf course include interpersonal and customer service skills, and of course having a love for the game will place you on common ground with the course's patrons and customers. If you like working outdoors and working in landscaping or with the environment, you may wish to work for the golf course's maintenance staff. There are also many opportunities in food and beverage.
 
Will I get to play for free, or at least for less, if I get a golf-course job?

Playing privileges vary from job to job and course to course.
 
What is a PGA Professional?

PGA Professionals are golf's leader in managing and growing the game of golf. Most PGA Members are golf professionals who manage the golf operations at golf courses, and promote and grow the game through golf instruction and player development programs. Many PGA Members also play other key leadership roles in the industry by serving in executive and association management, corporate management, the media, consulting, project development, sales, retail and many other positions.
